Reconstruction of the building, Wenceslas Square No.9 - Temporary supporting steel structure

Description: The temporary supporting steel structure was used as the support and protection of the historic parts of the building during the demolition of the other parts.  Structure supported in vertical direction ceilings of the 3rd-7th storey, and then left parts of the wall in line B between 4th and 7th storey and as stability ensuring structure for the existing front wall and wall in line B. The structure was also used as a support for earth pressure within the range from second cellar to first floor.
The temporary structure was protected by the paint with thickness 50 µm.
The structure was erected in very complicated site, step by step inside demolished building. All parts of the structure were transported manually with minimum of the lifting devices inside the building.
