Description
Place:
Slovany Depot, Slovanská alej 35, Plzeň 2 – Slovany, Czech Republic
Description:
The project comprises a new set of adjacent and interconnected halls, consisting of a load-bearing steel structure. The hall is being built on the site of the demolished existing depot hall. The structure forms part of the reconstructed Slovany depot area. The halls are divided into three buildings, which are further subdivided into parts according to their operations and use.
The steel structure includes inspection gangways, the extent of which is based on the requirements of the operating technology.
Access to the gangways is possible over a steel staircase. The gangways comprise a tipping part towards the track to reduce the gap between the car and the gangway.
The steel structures include steel columns supporting the rails in the service channels.
The longitudinal axial distance of the columns is 1.45 m and they are anchored into the reinforced concrete floor slab.
