The project consists in a complete installation of 2 new flue gas ducts between Absorber No. 1 and 2 and a new stack in Dětmarovice power station. Dimensions of the flue gas ducts are 5.6 m x 5.6 m, and their length is 29 m.
A temporary flue gas duct was located in the area where the new flue gas ducts were installed; this temporary flue gas duct enabled FGD unit operation after accident in 2018. The temporary flue gas duct was removed and modified to suit the geometry of Absorber 1 outlet and the stack, flue gas duct No. 2 was manufactured as new and installed at the construction site. Both flue gas ducts were installed to their position in 2 phases using 500-ton and 750-ton crane. The project also included insulation of the flue gas ducts and application of a special coating resistant against the flue gases.
Complete shop documentation for the steel structure. Removal, installation, and adaptation of the steel structure (approx. 150 tons).
Removal and installation of flue gas ducts including sheathing with aluminum sheets (approx. 1,500 m2).
Application of a special coating resistant against the flue gases (approx. 1,100 m2).
