Description: Steel structure of the new service bridge in the National Technical Library replaces the existing unsatisfactory aluminum structure in the area under the atrium roof. The new bridge consists of a welded lattice girder steel structure which was assembled at the site.
The service bridge span is 16941mm with the width of 1300mm and maximum height of 2173mm. The bridge is propelled with two motors interconnected with synchronization shaft and by gears with two guide chains along both sides of the bridge. The total travel length is 31,850mm. The existing bridge was disassembled and the new bridge was assembled manually with rope hoists.
