Description:
The project comprises the preparation of design documentation, production, delivery and installation of steel structure for DSO 101 Silo Building, enabling an extension of the existing plant 7814 by storage silos for granulated polypropylene (PP).
The main steel structure of the silo building is connected to the existing structure and will serve to expand the operating space of the current technological building for filling and processing of granulate. The steel structure is divided into three height levels. Operating technology will be located at the level of +5 m; the height level of +13 m will serve as the ceiling of the interior space. The +18 m level will be used to anchor 22 storage silos and it will also form the walk-on roof of the building.
The main steel structure of the silos is connected to the steel structure of the staircase tower and elevator shaft, which enable access to individual height levels of the silos, to the steel platforms above the silos, and to which the product conveying pipes and utility networks are mounted.
Another part of the project is the supply and installation of steel platforms above the silos including access gangways, which are located on top of the storage silos at the height of + 44 m and serve for technological equipment operation.
The steel structure also includes an envelope of the main silo building and the elevator shaft of the stair tower. Structure of the silo building’s envelope is identical to the current building 7814 and consists of trapezoidal sheets and KINGSPAN sandwich panels. The elevator shaft envelope consists of trapezoidal metal sheets.
EXCON, a.s. also transported and installed 22 PP storage silos which were manufactured by Jansen & Dieperink company at Herkules pre-assembly area near the Unipetrol Litvínov site.
The objective of the capital project is to increase the storage capacity for the produced granulated PP and to reduce the logistic demands associated with its storage by utilizing the space within the Unipetrol plant premises.
