Description:
New footbridge of length 61,5m a width 4,5m replaced the original Komenského Bridge crossing the river Elbe from the year 1886, connecting historical centre with later right bank part of the town. Sufficient height of the upper level of the structure above the level of 100 years water enabled design of space prestressed beam string structure. Central tubular structure with three prestressed tendons has in cross section shape of triangle isosceles. Forces originated in tendons from prestressing and loading of the bridge are transferred through end welded pieces into central tube and partially into three longitudinal beams HEA 240 on which grating floor is fixed. Central tube 726x16 has sag of part of circle shape 1050mm. Structure is hot dip galvanized without any additional painting.
